The basis for precise inspection is only as good as the operator and his equipment. Here at East Coast Propellers we boast the most precise equipment. We have recently purchased the new Locator 2 Phase Analysis Eddy Current Machine, that is becoming the most preferred equipment over the older style Eddy current machines. Our units are regularly calibrated to ensure accuracy, and regular samples are taken of our liquid penetrant as part of our materials check audit. These audits are very thorough and cover everything from sensitivity to water content. All processes that require audits have the results logged and placed in the respective registers for ease of tracibility and verification that the process meets the manufactueres requirements. Personnel are sent on N.D.T. courses to train specifically in the procedure of inspection requirements and this may include training courses offered by the propeller manufactureres. East Coast Propellers is proud to be a member of the Australian Institute of Non Destruction Testing and have multiple technicians trained and approved in the use of Eddy Current, Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant Inspections.

These include all engine components and accessories, aircraft wheel and brake system assemblies and all landing gear assemblies. All processes and material checks are carried out at regular intervals in accordance with Manufacturer's requirements. |
